RALEIGH, Rita – of Clio, age 70, died Friday, December 15, 2018 at Maple Wood Manor in Clio. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Mike Horne officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Rita was born March 8, 1948 in Flint, Michigan to the late Andrew and Adeline (Hickey) Getcy. She grew up in Flint, Michigan and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School. On March 20, 1964 she married Ed Raleigh Jr. and he preceded her in death on August 13, 2018. Prior to her retirement, Rita worked as a Baker for Meijer’s for 30 years. She enjoyed baking, bingo, and going to the casino. However, her greatest joy in life was her family and her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Children, Edward “Tony” (Ruth) Raleigh, Kristine (Craig) Taylor; Grandchildren, Amanda (Chad) Angers, Andrea (Travis) Brown, Edward (Kimberly) Raleigh Jr., Eric (Courtney) Raleigh, Cody (Samantha) Taylor, Rebecca Taylor, Shelby Taylor; Great Grandchildren, Dean Taylor, Scarlett Taylor, Cassandra Angers, Felcity Angers, August Angers, Vera Brown, Eva Brown, Carman Raleigh, and Luca Raleigh on the way: Sister, Dorothy Couchman.
