JONES, Darwyn – beloved music man to all who knew him and minister of music at his church, walked on to his eternal reward early Saturday morning March 12, 2022 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was 58 years old. There will be a Celebration Service in his honor at 11AM Saturday March 26, 2022 at South Flint Tabernacle G-3450 S. Saginaw St. Burton, MI 48529. All are welcome to attend.
Darwyn was born in Flint, MI to Johnnie Franklin Jones and the late Nancy (Gordon) Jones. Darwyn had an Associate’s degree in Marketing and was very skilled at his trade. However, at a young age, he found his true passion in life – Music. His beautiful God given talent has touched souls all around the world. His extraordinary musical ability was used, not only in teaching music to all who were willing to learn, but also to freely minister to churches who were blessed by his talent and passion.
Darwyn is survived by the love of his life, Julie (Wickson) Jones; his son, Christopher (Devon) Jones; his father, Frank Jones; siblings, Todd (Sheila) and Sherry; grandson, Jackson, along with a wonderful bouquet of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, stepchildren, and step-grandson. He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy, grandparents, and many others.
Darwyn fought a good fight and kept the faith; never wavering from what he believed.
