INGRAM, PHILLIP WAYNE “BIG PHIL” – Of Burton, age 85, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at his home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Family and friends will gather from 9:00am on Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Phil was born in Hokes Bluff, Alabama on July 23, 1939, the son of the late David and Berta (Nail)Ingram. He married the love of his life, Barbara Roland on October 9, 1959. Phil was a millwright for General Motors for 42 years. He enjoyed his property up north and was an avid hunter and fisher. He cherished spending time with his family and especially loved kisses from his dog, Sweetie.
Surviving are wife, Barbara;
children, Shari (Joe) Fields, Phillip Ingram and Michael (Silissa) Ingram;
grandchildren, Erica, Michael (Tambria), Paul and Joel;
great-grandchildren, Casey, Joshua, Kaydence, Chazlynn, Peyton and Mason;
brother, Sammy;
many nieces and nephews
and dear friends, Felix, Heinz, Phil Alan and Joe from up north.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Berta Ingram and many brothers and sisters.
