Gary D. Myers, age 86 of Grand Blanc, MI passed away January 21, 2025, at Genesys Henry Ford Hospital. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 6494 Belsay Rd., Grand Blanc, MI. The family will receive visitors at the church Thursday from 10:00AM until the time of service. Burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Rev. Dr. John Landis officiating. Gary enjoyed camping, hunting and everything outdoors. Gary was joined in marriage to Mary L. Fullerton, August 15, 1964, in Correctionville, Iowa. He was active in the Boy Scouts and he and Mary were members at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Grand Blanc for 56 years. His big hobby that he loved and was very good at was woodworking and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. Gary graduated from Dye High School, Flint in 1957. He retired from General Motors, Buick City, as a Tool & Die maker in 1998. He served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1964.
Gary is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary Myers, sons Jeffrey (Tiffany) Myers, Joel Myers, Jason (Allison) Myers, grandchildren Brendan, Owen and Lillian Myers, two sisters Sherry (Terry) Maitland and Sandy (Dave) Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Ida Myers, sister and brother-in-law Sherryl and Glen Bell. In lieu of flowers please donate to a veteran’s charity of your choice.
