WEST-NEWCOMBE, Dana – passed away at her home in Dundee, Florida surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Dana was born in Flint, MI on March 30, 1962. She will be fondly remembered for her loving and compassionate care of children as Owner and Director of Ms. Dana’s Daycare and Stay and Play Learning Center for over thirty years.
She will be sadly missed by hundreds of children’s parents and grandparents.
“And Jesus said, suffer little children, to come unto me and forbid them not. For such is the Kingdom of God” Matthew 19:14
Dana is survived by her husband, William; son, Joshua Weidenhammer; grandsons, Ashtyn, Bradyn and Jayce; sisters, Carol (Howard) Fry, Trina (Steve) Reif; sister-in-law, Louise West; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn McLean; father, Darwin West; step-father, Terry McLean and brother, Mark West. A special thank you to Good Shepherd Hospice and all of her dear friends who helped care for her and visited her in her final days. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and Celebration of her Life will be held at 4 PM Sunday, November 1, 2020 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 8428 E. Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423
