HARBURN, Robert – of Flint, age 85, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome visitors from 11 AM - 2 PM and 4 - 7 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the funeral home. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday.
Robert was born in Goodrich on December 17, 1940, son of the late Ivan and Myrtle (Burghdorf) Harburn. While working as a cook at Big Boy in Mt. Morris, he met Terrie Stoinski who was a waitress there. They began dating, fell in love and were married on June 17, 1965, in Flint. Bob went on to work for GM and retired from there many years later. In his spare time, Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter. His greatest joy was found in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. They will forever be thankful for the memories and lessons he taught them.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Terrie Harburn; children, Roger (Tina) Harburn, Debi Farver, Michael (Denise) Harburn, Tammy (Doug) Wheeler; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Irving Harburn; and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
