Jordan lived her life with genuine kindness & an adventurous spirit, and truly brought joy to those around her. Known for her tiny stature, radiant smile, effervescent personality, quick wit and infectious laugh, she brought the party with her wherever she went. Jordan was the BEST wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend; she went out of her way to create special memories for her loved ones. Baking favorite cakes, crafting handmade cards, making and executing fun lists of activities, and providing hilarious but wise insights were all in a day’s work. She loved bright flowers (particularly yellow ones) & gardening, travel, concerts & musicals, all nature (especially dogs & penguins), cheering for the Wolverines & Lions, but most of all, her family. She had very loving close relationships with her sister, Lauren, and brother, Patrick, and she deeply loved Eric’s family as well.
A 2002 graduate of Linden High School, and its student council president, Jordan earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority. In both locations she made friendships that continued for the rest of her days. Jordan met and immediately fell in love with her husband, Eric, in 2012. They were wed in 2013. Her eagerness to experience different places led her seek promotions in her work as a senior exec with a national leasing company, to West Michigan, Arizona, and Florida, but ultimately, she and Eric returned to Linden, much to the delight of their families. Family was precious to Jordan, and she never failed to tell family & friends how much she loved them. She & Eric lived their compassion for others by opening their home to family & friends who needed a place to stay, and by adopting rescue dogs, including 3 large dogs who will be missing Jordan each day. Eric cared for Jordan completely unselfishly, and she said every day how blessed she was to live her life with him at her side. Jordan battled a rare, insidious cancer with courage, tenacity and grace.
She leaves behind a crowd of devastated friends and family including husband Eric Martin, parents Michael and Teresa (Irland) Munley of Fenton, sister Lauren (Kyle) Smith, brother Patrick Munley, parents-in-law Norm and Lois Martin of Holly, sister-in-law Jennie (Bill) Hunt and many, many more special aunts, uncles and cousins. Jordan will always be the favorite aunt of Mackenzie & Charlotte Cornell, and Wyatt, Gemma & Lily Smith, who relished the fun times spent with Aunt JoJo. Very special friends include Melissa, Bianca & Erin.
