Mathew Torok, age 58, of Flushing, passed away in Flint, Michigan on February 15, 2023. Matt was born June 15, 1964 to the late Louis Torok and Mildred Marshall-Lasley. Matt was a highly decorated 3 sport athlete for the Flushing Raiders who was All-State in football. In 1982, he won the Golden Gloves Heavyweight Championship. Matt went on to become a starting Tackle for the Ferris State Bulldogs who last season won the DII National Championship. After graduating from Ferris State, he embarked on a long and successful career in sales. Matt covered various territories in the US as well as the Pacific Rim and Asia. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Terry Davis; niece, Rachel Davis. Matt is survived by step mother Maxine Torok, Brothers Mark Torok, Todd Torok, John Lasley, Ben Lasley and sister, Jenny Torok, Nephews, Chad and Brandon and niece, Leigha. Along with many cousins.
