Zofko, John Andrew – of Clio, age 81, died Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his family. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 11, 2022, at the Clio Country Club. Pastor Don Phillips officiating. The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 11:00 AM until time of the service at the Clio Country Club. Memorial contributions can be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in lieu of flowers.
John was born February 26, 1941, in Warren, Ohio to the late John and Helen (Balaska) Zofko Sr. He received his master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. On November 28, 1964, he married Dianna Baird. John worked for the Buick Foundry from 1962 to 1976. He owned and operated Great Lakes Aero Products from June 1973 until present, where he was an engineer, inventor, and founder. John was a member of the Central Nazarene Church, the Clio Country Club, NRA, Genesee & Grand Blanc Gun Club, and was an IFR Pilot. He enjoyed golfing, shooting guns, restructuring cars and would rather fix something then buy new. John was a loving husband, wonderful father, grandfather, and provider. Above all he will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Wife of 57 years, Dianna Zofko; Children, Heather (Kevin) Zofko-Wiles, John (Debby) Zofko III; Grandchildren, Kaity, Logan, Danny, Kylie; Sister, Marilyn Conti.
