CLAY, William Lewis – of Flint, MI, age 86, passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021, at McLaren-Flint. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Genesee Road Church of God, 4344 North Genesee Road, Flint, MI 48506, Pastor Vaughn Eller officiating.
Bill was born in Ackerman, MS on September 15, 1935, son of the late Forrest and Winnie (Moss) Clay. He married Barbara Tonkin on June 14, 1955. Bill was the owner of Bill Clay Pest Control. He was passionate about working in his gardens and often grew an abundance that he willingly gave to others. Bill enjoyed spending time over the years building motorcycles. His favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing with his children and grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Clay; 3 children, Vickie (John) Anderson, Robert (Cecile) Clay and Sonya (Jim Howie) Murgas; brother, Forrest Clay Jr.; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Winnie Clay; sister, Billie Stedman and brother, Jackie Moss.
