BARBER, Orson Jr. – Of Burton, age 94, died Friday, February 4, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Private burial at Evergreen Cemetery with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
Contributions may be made to Flint Baptist Temple.
Orson was born in Central Lake, Michigan on September 12, 1927, the son of the late Orson and Eva (McDowell) Barber. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the aftermath of World War II in Germany. Orson married Beverley DuBois on July 3, 1954 in Central Lake, Michigan. He retired from general Motors Buick Division after 30 plus years of service and was a member of UAW Local #599. Orson enjoyed fishing, hunting gardening and spending time with his family.
Surviving are wife, Beverley;
Children, Sandra Barber, Pam (Tim) Dombrowski, William (Lou Ann) Barber and Marlene Barber;
Grandchildren, Nick (Amber) Dombrowski, Alicia (Eric) Hayes, Matt (Samantha) Dombrowski, Kali Fuller, Natasha Parkinson, Justin (Annie) Kufuor and Kristi Kufuor;
Great-grandchildren, Nataliya, Aria, Tatiana, Jayla, Ethan, Luke, Presley, Lincoln, Ellia, Johnny, Theodore and Penelope;
Sister, Dian (Cliff) Boatwright;
And several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Elmer, Gerold, Jimmy Joe and Harold D. Barber and four sisters, Darlene Youmans, Fay McGillis, Janet Woverton and Evelyn Moffat.
