Micinski, Marilyn of Flushing, age 87, died Sunday, May 9, 2021, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Flushing United Methodist Church. Rev. JJ Mannschreck will officiate. Private burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the service at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Marilyn was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on December 4, 1933, the daughter of Arthur and Celia (Hiltz) Mohnk. She married Robert Micinski in Saginaw on October 15, 1955. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2011. Marilyn was a faithful member of Flushing United Methodist Church. She worked for many years as a School Bus Driver for Flushing Community Schools. Marilyn enjoyed time as a den mother for the Cub Scouts and being a Girl Scout Leader and was a part of AFS Intercultural Programs for exchange students. Together with her husband, they loved to travel and go camping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Marilyn is survived by her children, David (Sue) Micinski of Beulah, Gary (Audrey) of Dallas, Texas, Roberta (Derrick) Diacono of Brighton, Sandy (Brian Keefer) Walther of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Jessica (Todd) DeLand, Nick (Kham Kidia) Micinski, Chelsea Micinski, Kris Micinski, Stephanie Micinski, Kara (Matt) Gutteridge, Kelli (Jake) Pfeister, Brian (Taleah Huempfner) Vander Baan, Shaina (Andrew) Kolka, Alex (Rachel Harrington) Walther, Ben (Paige Qualls) Walther, Logan Walther, Brandon Diacono, Kayla (Tim Bruley) Diacono; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ellie, Jackson, Joe, Henry, Carter, Tessa, Sawyer; sisters, Barbara Steltzriede, Jackie Acker; sister-in-law, Koan Kolka; and many nieces and nephews.
