Michael Arthur Stuart, age 53, of St. Helen, MI, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 29, 1970, in Flint, MI, to James and Marlene (Shelstad) Stuart.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed following the Red Wings and Michigan games, attending concerts, and going on road trips. He was a talented bass guitar player and was part of a band. Michael also had a passion for carpentry and worked as a carpenter.
On November 19, 2005, he married Cathy Mapley in Flint.
Michael was a loving husband to Cathy Stuart of St. Helen. He was a dedicated father to his children: Sara Hodges of Flint, Michael Hodges of St. Helen, and Charles Hunt of Adrian, MI. Michael also cherished his granddaughter, Savanna Burton, of Clio, MI. He is survived by his father, James Stuart of Bay City, MI, his brother James (Debbie) Stuart Jr. of Clio, his sister Jennifer (Todd Herron) Stuart of St. Helen, and niece and nephews Tyla, Nathan, Kyle, and Jimmy. He also leaves behind several aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his mother Marlene and beloved dog Ginger.
Cremation has taken place, and no service is scheduled at this time.
