SEVON, Caroline Erma (Pankonin) – of Flint, MI, age 79, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for George and Caroline will be held 11 AM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5073 Daly Boulevard, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Gary L. Beck officiating. The family will receive visitors 10-11 AM Saturday, August 28, 2021 at St. Mark Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, in memory of George and Caroline.
Caroline was born in Detroit, MI on February 20, 1942, daughter of the late William and Mildred (Hebik) Pankonin. She married George Joseph Sevon on December 21, 1972 in Detroit, MI and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2021. Caroline met George at Hudson’s, where she was employed for many years. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends.
Caroline is survived by her daughter, Maida (David) Demo; precious grandson, Evan Demo; 2 loving sisters, Dale Smith and Nana Lee Schulte; nieces, nephews and cousins; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Pankonin; husband, George Joseph Sevon; 2 brothers, Wayne Pankonin and Edward (Francis) Pankonin; sister, Marlin Pankonin; 2 brothers-in-law, William Schulte and Gerald Smith and nephew, Scott Pankonin.
