Weiss, Susan M. – of Clio, age 73, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 9AM until the time of service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designations.
Susan was born April 22, 1950, in Flint, Michigan, to the late John and Frances (Warner) Halligan. Susan's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter touched the lives of all who knew her. She attended and graduated from Clio High School. On January 27, 1968, Susan married her soulmate Reynold Weiss. Their love blossomed over the years, serving as an inspiration to all who witnessed their unwavering bond. Susan was born and raised in the Catholic faith and throughout her life she found solace and strength within that faith. In her free-spirited nature, Susan found joy in embracing life's simple pleasures. She spent many years as a bartender at the Nite Cap Tavern. She not only served drinks with a smile, but she also listened to many stories and cultivated countless friendships along the way. SuzyQ, as she was affectionately known to many, had a true zest for life and collected many memories along life's journey. Above all else, Susan cherished her family. Her love for her family was immeasurable. Together, they shared countless moments of laughter, support, and unconditional love.
Surviving are: Loving husband of 54 years, Reynold Weiss; Son, Todd Weiss; Grandchildren: Eric Weiss, Renae Weiss (Joel Dubiel), Vance Weiss, and Alyssa Hammond; Great Granddaughter, Gracie Dubiel; Brothers: Dan (Cindy) Halligan and Brian Halligan; Sister, Margaret (Joe) French.
