DAVIS, Edward – Of Flint, age 79, died Saturday, August 16, 2014, at his residence.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at New Life Christian Fellowship Church 2237 Reid Road, Grand Blanc,
Rev. Dr. Daniel McNaughton and Rev. Robert Roberts officiating.
Memorial visitation 12 p.m. Friday until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Life Christian Fellowship Missions.
Edward was born in Camden, New Jersey on October 3, 1934, the son of Raymond and Catherine (Campbell) Davis.
On September 15, 1956, he married Shirley Smith in Flint.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
His nickname was "Grandpa Fix It." He was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship Church. Mr. Davis was employed by Truck & Bus, retiring in 1987, after 35 years.
Surviving are wife, Shirley;
son, Brent of Colorado;
daughters, Stacie (Timothy) Pierson of Grand Blanc and
Dr. Amy (Dr. Daniel) McNaughton of Pennsylvania;
six grandchildren, Ryan Davis, Jarren (Kendra) Pierson, Allissa (Jacob) Womack, Emilie (Brent) Simmonds, Cherisse McNaughton, and Seth (Rachel) McNaughton;
three great-grandchildren, Gavin and Samuel Pierson and Colton Womack;
nephew, Scott Davis.
He was preceded in death by parents and brother, Raymond L. Davis.
