DRUBIN, Mona Jean - age 93, of Flint, passed away May 20, 2023. Funeral Service 1:00 PM Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek. Pastor Reuben Dunckel officiating. Interment Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation 6PM -8PM Wednesday May 24, 2023 at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions in Mona's memory would be appreciated to The Genesee County Humane Society.
Mona was born February 7, 1930 in Muskegon, the daughter of Marton J. and Lavina E. (Fairbanks) Dunckel. She retired after 30 years of service from Chevrolet Motor Division of GM October 1, 1982 and was a member of UAW Local 659. Mona retired and resided at May Manor Park in Lakeland, FL where she made many dear friends and enjoyed hosting happy hour gatherings. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, and mostly sharing time with her children, grandchildren and family! Mona dearly loved her dog, Pearl. Mona was loved by all who knew her.
Mona is survived by: her son, Bud (Theresa) Lane; son-in-law, Gerald Gutek; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; her siblings, Martha "Jo" (Don) Herman, Sandy Rothoff, Darrell (Pat) Dunckel, and Bobbie Hardin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mona was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Edward Drubin; daughters, Brenda Gutek, and Laurie Wilson; son- in - law Tom Wilson; and several siblings.
