Richard John Hurst of Burton, Michigan, age 63, died suddenly at his home on November 12, 2021. A memorial gathering will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 16 at Rossell Funeral Home.
Rick was born in Flint, Michigan on December 11, 1957 to William and Edna (Dunckley) Hurst. He enjoyed woodworking and loved fishing and spending time in the U.P. He was very loved and will be deeply missed.
Rick is survived by his wife, Darci Hurst; children, Jody (Andrew) Hopson, Jamie Grubbs, Richard II (Lauren) Hurst, Caci Stephen, and Jared Stephen; grandchildren, Deion (Renee) Grubbs, Cameron Grubbs, Domonique Grubbs, Derrick Grubbs, Gregory Grubbs, Joseph Grubbs, Olivia Hurst, and Richard Hurst III; two great-grandchildren; mother, Edna Hurst; and siblings, Jeff (Laura) Hurst and Dana Wilcox. He was preceded in death by his father, William Hurst; brother, Willie Hurst; brother-in-law, Don Wilcox; and beloved dog, Spex. |
