YAKLIN, Gertrude A. (Spencer) – of Davison, age 87, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023, at her residence. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettel, officiating. Burial will immediately follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East, in Gertrude’s memory.
Gertrude was born in Hardin, MT on April 7, 1935, daughter of the late Roderick and Edna (Carper) Spencer. She married James H. Yaklin and he preceded her in death on September 3, 2012. Gertrude loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gertrude is survived by her children, Tim (Jeanette) Yaklin and Julie (Chris) Noel; grandchildren, Jeremy (Elizabeth), Melissa (David), Jessica (Matthew), Taylor, Kelly, Nicole (Chris) and Matt; 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, Janet Kewin and Charlotte Shanks; her 4-legged best friend, Daisy; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by son, Scott Yaklin; great-granddaughter, Grace.
