Huber, Robert Lawrence of Flint, age 64, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his home. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on October 15, 1960, the son Lawrence and Mary (Miller) Huber. Bob spent his career in the grocery industry working for Hamady, Kessel, Keebler and currently Walmart. He was a fan of all Detroit sports. He enjoyed softball, running, snow and water skiing, and fishing. He was an avid golfer, serving as Captain of his current golf league. He was a beloved member of the Briar Ridge Golf Club. He was a proud three-time winner with his playing partner, holding the course record. Robert was a loyal friend and was lucky to have several lifelong friends whom he enjoyed hanging out with. Bob's family will remember him as a laid-back sweet soul, with a quick wit and great sense of humor, that lived a simple life to the fullest. He was deeply loved and will be missed.
Robert is survived by his sisters, Kim Barker, Elizabeth “Libby” Huber, Stacie (Rich) Fiori; nephews and niece, Chad (Brook) Barker, Ryan (Courtenay) Barker, Justin (Carrie) Linder, Christopher Tait, Cameron Tait, Paige Tait; six great-nieces and nephews; and his many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. |
