GODRA, Steven Keith "Steve" - Age 73, of Lennon, passed away, Sunday November 5, 2023. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 10, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek (A live stream of the service will be available on Steve's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Pastor Amy Murphy officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 4-8 PM. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 7 PM at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Steve was born November 1, 1950 in Detroit, the son of Steve Frank and Eileen Marie (Lipscom) Godra. He was a 1968 graduate of Lutheran High School West in Detroit and he received a Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University. He married Barbara Ann Kiacz May 22, 1971 in Owosso. Steve had resided in Lennon most of his life, coming from Detroit. He owned and operated Quality System Specialist. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Owosso. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and most of all spending time with his grandsons "The Men's Club" .
Surviving are: his wife of 52 years, Barbara; daughters, Jocelyn (Kevin) Trzil of Wakeman, OH and Miranda (Chad) Latimer of Sand Lake; grandsons, Braden Latimer, Brody Latimer, Bentley Latimer, Gavin Trzil and Rudy Trzil; sisters, Karen Skiven and Cheryl (Jim) DeLang; and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and in-laws, Rudy and Doris Kiacz. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
