Dorothy J. (Ostrosky) Reason, 86, of Toledo, Ohio and formerly of Dundee, Michigan, passed away the morning of Monday, October 25th in the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek surrounded by her loving family.

Dorothy was born in Toledo, Ohio on September 2, 1924 to Harry and Alma (Hitt) Rosendaul. She was a 1942 graduate of Woodward High School. On December 4th, 1943 she married Richard Allen Ostrosky, also of Toledo, who preceded her in death on August 23rd, 1994. Together they raised ten children and made their home in Toledo before moving to Dundee in 1973. In November 2001, she married John O. Reason, who also preceded her in death in March 2007. She was a member of All Saints Lutheran Church. Dorothy was a devoted homemaker, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and spending her winters in Naples, Florida. Her hobbies included cooking large family dinners, crocheting, listening to music, singing, and home decorating.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a younger sister, Nancy J. Dilley of Brooklyn, Michigan.

Dorothy will be missed by her surviving ten children, Judy Tollison (Rick Tussing) of Toledo,Ohio, Janet (Dave) Quick of Quincy, Michigan, Jill (James) Henzie of Montana, Richard Jr. (Connie) Ostrosky, of Newport, Michigan, Joni (Mike) Braithwaite of Temperance, Michigan, David Ostrosky of Toledo, Ohio, Tim (Diane) Ostrosky of Monroe, Michigan, Chris (Cathy) Ostrosky of Louisville, Kentucky, Fred (Christy) Ostrosky of Rogers, Arkansas and Mark (Veronica) Ostrosky of Petersburg, Michigan. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Thursday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, in the mortuary, at 10 a.m. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses, aides and staff at the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek and to Odyssey Hospice.
