HARDY, Marilyn Ann “Marty”– of Burton, MI, age 84, passed away Monday, December 13, 2021. The family will receive visitors 3-7PM Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 11-12PM, Tuesday, at Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church,4040 Lapeer Rd. Burton, MI 48519. A Funeral Service will be held 12PM Tuesday, December 21 at Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church, Pastor Susan Lidums officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church, in Marty’s memory.
Marty was born in Flint, MI on December 27, 1936, daughter of the late Ray and Anna Louise (Kutschiniski) Miller. She married Wayne Hardy on November 2, 1963, and he preceded her in death in 1998. Marty was a graduate of Northern High School. She was an active and involved member of Our Risen Lord Lutheran Church and enjoyed being a member of the sewing group as well as reading scriptures when asked. She loved to watch the Detroit Tigers and NASCAR. Marty enjoyed spending time attending to her flower beds. Her favorite memories were the times she spent camping with her family, cooking and baking. She was especially known for her banana bread. Marty loved to feed the squirrels and birds. She traded in her vodka and tonic for communion at the church. Marty will forever be remembered for her laughter that turned into a snort which would get the rest of the room into a roar. Finally, her biggest love was interacting with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved Chanel.
Marty is survived by 4 children, Evan (Linda) Orr, LouAnn (Steve) Fordyce, Julie (Nick) Alecci and Albert (Roberta) Hardy; 12 grandchildren, Tiffany Krug, Heather Stevens, Anthony (Kathryn) West, Andrea (Rick) Brainard, Allison West, Trevor (Fiancé Kayla) West, Taylor (Fiancé Tyler) West, Joshua (Rebecca) Alecci, Derrick (Shawna) Alecci, Angelique (Grant Bean) Alecci, Courtney Kreis and Ashley Kreis; 12 great-grandchildren, Eli, Ace, Easton, Everly, Eisley, Ellias, Everett, Raleigh, Aubrey, Alexis, Koltyn and Neveah; special friends, Vickie Loll and Rick Hardin; beloved dog, Chanel; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Anna Louise Miller; husband, Wayne Hardy; brother, Eugene; sisters, Ester and Eleanor.
