GATZA, Marcia Ann - age 84, of Linden, died September 7, 2022. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. The family will receive friends from 11 AM - 1 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Marcia was born February 27, 1938 in Flint, the daughter of Chris and Glenola (Bowen) Leffler. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School and worked for Gault, Davison and Bowers Law Firm until she married John P. Gatza on September 8, 1962. She worked at Hudsons after raising three children and enjoyed 60 wonderful years of marriage. Marcia was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Surviving are: husband, John P. Gatza; three children, Lisa Mayner and fiance, Dean DuBois, John A. Gatza and wife, Melissa and Amy Gatza; grandchildren, Desi (Courtney) Mayner, Dustin (Amanda) Mayner, McKall (Robert) Solwold, Jaxon Gatza, Maxwell Gatza, and Samuel Gatza; great-grandchildren, Hadley, Harper, Bristol, Bennett Roger, Sophia, Ella, and Oaklyn; two sisters, Sharon (David) Jensen and Karen Earle and sister-in-law Judy Leffler; Cousin and life-long friend, Diane Saxton. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Daniel Leffler; and son-in-law, Roger Mayner. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
