SHORT, Grant Edward - Age 65, of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday March 3, 2020. Funeral services will be held 3PM Monday, March 16, 2020 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Pastor Dawn Russell officiating. Visitation will be held 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM Sunday and again from 1PM until time of service on Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to Hurley Children's Miracle Network or ACF. Grant was born June 2, 1954 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the son of George and Loretta (Perry) Short. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and was an avid Michigan football fan. Grant loved to make pickles and buckeyes. He also had a love of golf! He partnered in opening Pesto's and Russo restaurants. Grant also was a chef for many local restaurants in the Genesee County area. Surviving are: daughters, Tracy (Kevin) Ross of Lapeer, Stacy Smith of Columbiaville, Lacey Short of Byron; grandchildren, Jerry, Ashleigh (Zach), Gabrielle, Justin, Mikayla, Gabrielle, Rylan, Maycee, Breeanna, Brooklyn; great grandchildren, Charlee, Teagan and one on the way, Everest; and his significant other, Sharon Spencley. Grant is also survived by his sister, Cherly (Don) Williams of KY; nephew, Billy Hatchett; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Loretta Short, grandson, Brandon Anderson and brother, William Hatchett. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
