Of Grand Blanc, age 75, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
Visitation 2-8pm Monday, May 17 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed at 7pm Monday evening at the funeral home. Additional visitation 9:30a Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at church until the time of Mass.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30a Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, with Father Leronio Vodivodi celebrating.
Private burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc.

Carole was born in Flint on June 10, 1945, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Halik) Sochor.
She graduated from St. John Vianney High School, Class of 1963. She went on to earn a B.A. from Michigan State University and a M.Ed from Oakland University.
Carole taught at Genesee Schools for over 30 years and always held the school, teachers, and students close to her heart. She loved keeping up with friends and former students and would do so regularly.
Carole had a life-long passion for shopping and chocolate. Carole enjoyed golfing and reading and turned both into clubs with her dear friends. Her absolute favorite role was as Grammie Carole and she spent much of her retirement traveling to Illinois and Saskatchewan to visit her grandkids and clean Kristen’s house. Carole was always up for an adventure, be it an MSU tailgate and football game, a live concert with the girls or traveling with her friends and family.
Surviving are her devoted husband, Michael of Grand Blanc;
children, Kimberly (Joby) Messier of Wilcox, Saskatchewan, Matthew (Laura Jarrett) Krellwitz of Grand Blanc, and Kristen (Dan) Longpre of Skokie, IL;
grandchildren Max, Ashley, Benjamin, and Rowan.
She leaves behind precious cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and her beloved Aunt Jean Halik.
She also leaves behind her shitzu, Gizmo. Carole was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sochor and her parents.
