LANGSTON, Peggy Faye “Spanky” - Of Mt. Morris, age 81, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Saturday, September 2, 2023 at St. Mary’s Church, 11110 Saginaw Street, Mt. Morris,
Father Roy Horning officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 11am-8pm Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Friday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 11am Saturday at church until the time of the Mass.
Peggy was born on September 28, 1941, the daughter of the late Frank and Eloise (McClure) Damron. On January 23, 1958, she married Jerry Langston in Arkansas and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2011. Peggy was employed with General Motors for 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Mt. Morris for many years. Peggy enjoyed cooking and baking and loved the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. She loved her grand fur babies, Lulu, Rocky and Mulder. Above all else, she loved being with her family.
Surviving are daughters, Rene Langston, Tammy (Michael) Yuhanna and Samantha (Daniel) Weber;
son, Timothy (Cindy) Langston;
grandchildren, Zachery, Taylor, Jordan (Molly), Jacob, Sarah and Andrew;
siblings, Betty (Dave) Hill, Joyce (Dave) Coon, Marilyn (Dale) Smith, Debbie (Alan) Arndt, Jimmy (Cindy) Damron and Terry (Natilia) Damron;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Carolyn Sue Florida, Carrie Dean Damron and Thomas Damron.
