HEAL, Gene – of Davison, age 87, passed away April 28, 2014 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 2, 2014 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville; Pastor Alan Duce and Chaplain Gene Smith co-officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richfield Church of the Nazarene.
Gene was born in Davison, MI on June 14, 1926, son of the late George and Adaline (Hall) Heal. He married Pearl Gray on June 30, 1949 and she preceded him in death on February 6, 2010. Gene was a veteran of WWII, Navy CB, Construction Battalion, in the Pacific Theater. Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His greatest love was his family and grandchildren.
Gene is survived by his children, Sid (Linda) Heal, Chris (JoAnn) Heal, Brad (Beth) Heal, Sandee (Pat) Donovan, Sherry Eschenwick, Sally (Peter) Eggenberger and Richard (Debbie) Liptak; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; sister, Joan Coe; in-laws, Ed and Bonnie Martin, Lois Heal and Judy Zudell. He was preceded in death by brother, Victor Heal and grandson, David Heal.
