Diedrich, Bernard Grewe - Age 79, of Grand Blanc, died July 22, 2022. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, July 26 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 1227 E. Bristol Rd. Burton. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Monday, July 25 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.Visitation will also be held 10 AM Tuesday until the time of mass at the church. Rosary will be held 7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Bernard was born March 10, 1943 in Lafayette, IN., the son of Bernard and Marjorie (Barker) Diedrich. He married Karen Sue Jacobs in Pontiac on August 27, 1966. Bernard was a graduate of Wayne State University. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and the United States Army, and retiring from the Army. Bernard retired from General Motors. He loved watching football and collecting football cards also Detroit Tigers Baseball. Bernard also loved eating ice cream with his grandkids. He enjoyed a good nap. Bernard is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen; 4 children, Joseph (Mishelle) Diedrich of Hurricane, WV, Greg Diedrich of Ann Arbor, Edward (Jennifer) Diedrich of Appleton, WI, Stephanie (Jason) Youngs of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Arron (Emily), Alex (Leandra), Drew, Aiden, Lucy (Matthew), Gabriel, Rachel, Viktoria, Isaac, Jacob, Adrian; 5 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Susan (Jack) Cradock, Lisa (Jim) Braden, Katie (Bruce) Rivard; 2 brothers, Robert Diedrich, and John Diedrich. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Alan who passed August 31, 2013, brother, Greg; sister, Mary. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
