Frank Ruiz, of Grand Blanc, MI, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on February 11, 2023.
He was survived by his grand-children, Kelly Fleming (Robert); Robert Perez (Annette); Connie Marean; Jason Perez (Ilia Escobar) and his great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Perez and Celina Brander; Logan and Elina Fleming; Jack, Tegan and Josephine Marean; Fallon and Lia Perez; and great-great grandchild, Sophia Cunningham.
He has joined his wife, Josephine Ruiz; daughter, Maria Perez; parents Bonifacio and Maria Ruiz; and four siblings, Linda, Manuel, Candelario and Angelita.
Frank (Grandpa, GP, Grandpa Frank, Francisco), loved his family, a University of Michigan hat, and a cold Miller Lite. In the summer you could find him sitting outside watching a Tigers game
or golf. He loved to spend time with his family whether it was in Texas during the summer when he could travel or in Grand Blanc, MI where he was close to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frank worked for General Motors for over 30 years until he “retired” and started a business as a picture framer. If you knew Frank, then you probably have one of his picture frames in your house. His family will miss him dearly but will always have Sunday Breakfast, watching sports with him, his sense of humor and laugh, and will forever remember him asking, “What’s it doing out there?”
A visitation will be held at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI 48507 on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, 3415 Hill Rd, Grand Blanc, MI 48439, immediately following the funeral service, where Frank will receive military funeral honors.
