BALDWIN, Sharon Fay (Hempton) - age 80, of Burton, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Symphony of Linden. A funeral service will take place at 11 AM, Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Darrell Bailey will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will take place from 2 PM to 8 PM Tuesday and 10 AM to 11 AM Wednesday. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association.
Sharon was born on March 2, 1943 in Flint to the late John and Donna (Roberts) Hempton. She graduated from Flint Northern High School, class of 1961. Sharon worked as a claim representative for AllState for 23 years before her retirement. She was a member of the New Testament Community Church in Burton and Red Hat Society. Sharon had a love for music and loved to take part in country line dancing. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, and crafting quilts.
She is survived by her 4 sons, Scott Wilkinson, Todd (Kathy) Wilkinson, Tracy (Suzanne) Wilkinson and David (Lori) Taylor; 8 grandchildren, Alexandra (Nathan) Hunter, Wyatt (Mandi) Wilkinson, Brianna Corlew, Jacob Wilkinson, Sarah Wilkinson, Elizabeth Taylor, Dani Wilkinson and Barrett Wilkinson; sister, Christina Chase; and nieces, Darlene (Steve) Ekhardt and Robin (Mike) Shollack.
Sharon was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Donna Hempton; 3 brothers, Phillip, John and Jimmy Hempton; and 4 sisters, Maryann Boone, Shirley Fusero, Lois Nolf and Donna Kovalchik. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
