YOUNG, Bonita Eileen – Of Grand Blanc, age 74, died Friday, February 7, 2014 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, February 10, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Ken Coughlin officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holy Family
Catholic Church Choir.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Young will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of the Mass.
Bonita was born in Philo, Illinois on May 4, 1939, the daughter of George and Thelma (Cross) Wilson.
On June 9, 1962 she married Howard Young in Rantoul, Illinois.
She was the former director of Music at Holy Family Catholic Church, a member of the Carolyn Mawby Chorale and a member of the St. Cecelia Society.
Surviving are husband, Howard;
children, Lisa (Mike) May,
Gregory (Kim) Young,
Susan (Thomas) Alarie and
Deborah Young;
grandchildren, Aaron, Grace and Samuel Young;
brother, George Wayne Wilson.
