TARRANT, MILFORD LEON - Of Fenton, age 94, passed peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Jim Venturino officiating.
Entombment at Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Milford Leon was born in Flint, Michigan on January 10, 1931, the son of the late Victor and Ida Tarrant.
Milford Leon graduated from Davison High School Class of 1949.
On December 9, 1950 Milford married Betty Schaeffer at the Court Street Church of Christ.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Milford Leon was a member of 12th Street Church of Christ and Houghton Lake Church of Christ.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, Michigan football, chopping wood and spending time with his family.
Mr. Tarrant retired as a Millwright from General Motors Willow Run Plant after 41 plus years of service.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Christine (Jim) Venturino of Montrose and Linda (Mike) DeGuise of Linden;
daughter-in-law, Marsha Tarrant of Roy, Utah;
9 grandchildren, Matt (Melanie) Venturino, Sandy (Mitch) Wixom, Brandi (Heath) Ehlinger, Wendy (Jeff) Storm, Kim (Gene) Maas, Carrie (Tricia) Tarrant, Betsy (Clay) Perkins, Patrick (Jennifer) DeGuise and Blair Gregory;
19 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren;
sister, Geraldine Koch, age 99 of Colorado;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou; son, Leon Tarrant and 18 siblings.
