SPROULE, Mary – of Davison, age 79, passed away on July 31, 2022. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 PM Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Cremation will follow the Mass. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
Mary was born in Mount Pleasant, MI on December 15, 1942, daughter of the late Clarence and Lena Mae (Olger) Theisen. She married Robert Sproule on June 17,1966 and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2014. Mary was a member of St. John Catholic Church. She worked for Davison Community Schools retiring in 2003 and during the last many years teaching the CAP program. Mary was a devout Catholic. She loved traveling with her husband and going to their cottage. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and other family and friends.
Mary is survived by her children, Robert Vance Sproule, Christina Mary (Michael) Crandall and Michael Theisen (Michelle) Sproule; grandchildren, Emma (Derek) Miller, Frank, Ellie, Jack, Ryan, Robert and Lily; great grandson, Colton; siblings, Phyllis Ahlers, Bill (Joyce) Theisen, Gene Theisen, Rita (Bruce) Cline, Pauline (Steve) Thomas and Pat (Sue) Theisen; sister-in-law, Brenda; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack (Nancy) and Tom Theisen.
