Smallwood, Michael James of Flushing, age 59, died Friday, August 13, 2021, at his home. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering of family and friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021, at Flushing Township Hall. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Michael was born in Flint, Michigan, on January 26, 1962, the son of Dennis and Carol (Earns) Smallwood. Michael was currently employed by General Motors, Truck and Bus. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan who held season tickets for many years. Michael was a movie buff and was a collector of movie and Detroit Lions memorabilia. Michael was a wonderful son, brother and uncle and a great person who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father, Dennie and wife Sharon Smallwood; mother, Carol Tvardos; siblings, Pam Lapeen, Cammie and husband Scott Preston, Megan and husband Jason Norris, Tom “T.J.” and wife Jennifer Smallwood; many loving nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Abby. |
