FRENCH, Robert – of Burton, age 82, passed away April 25, 2018 at Durand Senior Care Center. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the VFW Post #3087.
Bob was born in Flint, MI on July 12, 1935, son of the late Jessie and Anna (Hudak) French. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 11 years. Bob married Marilyn Clark on January 28, 1983. He was a member of the Flint VFW and U.A.W. Local #598. Bob was an avid golfer, loved classic cars and traveling with his wife. He worked at Truck and Bus, retiring on April 1, 1994.
Bob is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Viki (Joseph) Henry, Herman (Shelia) Clark, Cindy (Edward) Gancarz and Terri Helmer; grandchildren, Joseph, Lexi and Trevor Henry, Amy Robinson, Adam Clark, Terry Bailey, Edward Gancarz and Heather Porter; many great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Reeser. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Durand Senior Care and Heart to Heart Hospice.
