McClelland, John “Subby”– of Davison, age 63, passed away on April 15, 2021, at McLaren-Flint. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton Street, Davison, MI; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Interment at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Fenton, MI. Family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Monday, April 19, 2021 and one hour prior to the Mass on Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Davison, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund in John’s name.
John was born in Pontiac, MI on June 4, 1957, son of the late John and Blanche (Rees) McClelland. He married Sarah Howe on February 20, 2021. John helped his family operating Fenton Home Bakery in Rochester, Donut Land, Subway of Fenton and then owned and operated Subway of Davison. He loved golfing and was a long-time member of the Davison Country Club. John enjoyed working out at his daughter’s gym TRV|FIT. He loved his family trips, traveling, and enjoyed his cars. John gave back to the community and to anyone who needed his help.
John is survived by his wife, Sarah; children, Jaiden, Adrian, Courtney (Larry) Lauer, Samantha (fiancé Jim Persinger), Stacey Johnson, Cassi Heppner, Caitlin (Bruce) Simms; grandchildren, Lincoln, Cole, Sienna, Bruce III, Leo, Rhoman, Benjamin, Aaron and Damien; siblings, Victoria (Tom) Bevel, Claudia (Douglas) Hawes and Craig (Julie) McClelland, and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Gail and twin sisters.
