Gladys Elaine Gardner, age 81, of Flint, Michigan passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Gladys was born September 9, 1940, in Flint, Michigan to the late Frank and Georgia (Ellis) Griffith. She enjoyed many different hobbies including scrapbooking and gathering information for her family tree, which she often shared with her children. Gladys always liked shopping too, especially at JC Penney and Walmart. Kindness was a trait that Gladys truly inherited, and she "always made people feel special." Many people agreed that she was a very giving and loving person. Gladys was a great mother, grandmother & great grandmother! She was a wonderful cook. We will miss her southern cooking especially her chicken dumpling soup . She loved reading books, cooking & her family. Gladys cherished her grandchildren, and family, and she will be dearly missed.
Gladys leaves behind to cherish her memory her children John Gardner, Paul Gardner, Steve (Linda) Gardner and Georgia (August) Janke; grandchildren Anna (John) White, Frankie Dean III, Cheyenne Arnold, Paul Gardner Jr., Olivia Gardner, Steve Gardner Jr., Jesse Gardner, Alicia (Michael) Bruner, Devin Janke and August Janke Jr.; many great grandchildren; and her brothers Gene and Jim.
Gladys is preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard; children Richard Gardner II and Mary Arnold; daughter in law Gaylene Gardner; son in law Ron Arnold; and her many siblings.
A funeral visitation for Gladys will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home - 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI. Funeral service will occur on Friday, September 9, 2022 at at 12:00 PM, at Brown Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior. Interment will be on Friday, September 9, 2022 at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, MI.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Gladys' honor.
