Randolph, David Glenn – of Davison, MI, age 78, passed away on November 16, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM, November 23, 2021 at Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Rd., Flint, MI 48507; Pastor Rob Prince will be officiating along with Dr. Eldred Kelley. Interment will take place following the service at Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 23, before the funeral service starting at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made through the Central Church of the Nazarene to the Imagine fund.
David was born in Detroit, MI on November 11, 1943, son of the late Harold and Clara (Martin) Randolph. He married Donna on December 16, 1982, at Calvert Park Church of God. David attended Findlay College with a minor in Drama, and a major in English and Music. He later completed his master’s degree in the art of education at Marygrove College. David retired after 36 years of teaching instrumental and vocal music for the Flint Public Schools. He made an impact with his students and at one point, was teaching 3rd generations for some families. David led the youth group for the Calvert Park Church of God, and he especially liked leading the teens bike trips around Michigan. He spent time both as lead and interim choir director over the past 50 years in all the churches he attended. He put on many pageants with the church and enjoyed constructing much of the scenery used for them. He loved gospel music and sang in many gospel quartets. David was a very humble man, and he was truly loved by those who knew him. David loved his Lord most of all.
David is survived by his wife, Donna; stepsons, Tim (Rose) Faulkner and Jeremy (Mindy) Faulkner; daughter, Lin Randolph; grandchildren, Dillon Faulkner, Rylie Brown, Blake Faulkner and Mitchell Mormile; and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Clara Randolph.
