BUCHANAN, Sandra Sue (Easton) – of Davison, MI, age 84, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. The family will receive visitors 1-6 PM Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Cremation will take place following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society, in Sandra’s memory.
Sandra was born in Flint, MI on January 9, 1940, daughter of the late Thelma (Roeder) LaVerne/Easton/Elsbury, Louis Easton and Maurice Pile. She was a beloved member of her community, serving with dedication on the Burton City Council as Finance Chair. Sandra was deeply proud of her role in the development of the new police and fire center, a testament to her commitment to making her community a safer place. Sandra’s passions extended beyond public service. She found joy in oil painting, creating beautiful works that reflected her vibrant spirit. A devoted fan of DVD movies, she particularly cherished animated films and sci-fi classics, always eager to share her favorites with family and friends. An avid reader, Sandra loved the works of Stephen King and Dean Koontz, immersing herself in their captivating tales. Above all, Sandra had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around her. Her laughter was infectious, and her talent for telling a good joke created cherished memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her. Sandra often spoke with anticipation about the day she would be welcomed into Heaven, saying, “When God has my room ready, I’m ready to go.” While we will miss her dearly, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace. Sandra leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and community service that will continue to inspire us all. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community she served so passionately.
Sandra is survived by 2 siblings, C. Jean Chamberlain and Kimberly Rowley; 5 special nephews, Brian (Michelle) Chamberlain, Mike Chamberlain, Chris (Stacy) Chamberlain, Raymond Chamberlain and Thomas Chamberlain; many other loving family members and dear friends, especially many friends at Old Orchard. She was preceded in death by her 2 fathers, Maurice Pile and Louis Easton; mother, Thelma Elsbury; brother, Ronald Easton; 2 brothers-in-law, Raymond Chamberlain and Robert “Bob” Rowley.
