Carlson, Tami Marie – of Birch Run, age 64, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2022, at her home surrounded by family. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at 3PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 12PM until the time of service.
Tami was born March 2, 1958, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Thomas and Shirley (Mathes) Matheson. She worked at Bavarian Inn from 1976-1981, where she met her husband, Dennis. Tami married Dennis on December 31, 1981. She was employed for 25 years at Birch Run Schools, working in food service, she retired in 2021. Tami cherished moments with her grandchildren, sitting by the pool watching them learn how to swim. She enjoyed doing yard work, taking care of her flowers, and watching all the wildlife that traveled through the yard. Tami was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by many.
Left to cherish her memory are: Husband of 41 years Dennis Carlson; Son, Jonathan (Brooke) Carlson; Daughter, Jessica (Jason) Carlson Mocny; 4 Grandchildren: Brayden, Bella, Charlee and Isaac; Brother, Thomas Matheson; Father-In-Law, Raymond Carlson; Sister-In-Laws: Dawn Carlson, Donna (George) Rohrig, and Debbie Grandy; Several nieces and nephews; Special people in her life: Lou Ranck, Kari Laporte, Dianne North, and Julie Donakowski. She is preceded in death by her Brothers: Tim and Ted; Sister, Teri Brockett; Sister-In-Law, Roxanne Matheson; Mother-In-Law, Gladys Carlson.
