Sharon A. Buckley
Age 84, of Owosso, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at North Baptist Church of Flint with Pastor Dan Phelps officiating. Sharon will be laid to rest at Fremont Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Sharon was born on November 28, 1941, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the daughter of Donald and Vivian (Perkins) Nelson.
Sharon was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who took great pride in her home and, above all, her family. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every opportunity to spend time with those she loved.
Sharon was a woman of strong faith and found great joy in attending church and family functions. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and finding a good bargain-she could always appreciate a great sale. Her caring nature, warm heart, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
On April 25, 1965, Sharon married the love of her life, Robert Buckley Jr., in Kalamazoo. Together, they shared more than 61 years of marriage.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Robert Buckley Jr.; her children, Beth Buckley, Rick (Leslie) Buckley, Jeff R. Buckley, Terri (Leonard) Mitchell, Jeff S. Buckley, Amy (Kory) Hoover, and Lisa Buckley; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
