VELLA, Dr. Joseph Anthony, D.D.S. – of Davison, MI, age 61, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 6 PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Morris Moos officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family will receive visitors 4:30-6 PM Friday, November 17, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope International, in Joe’s memory.
Joe was born in Detroit, MI on July 15, 1962, son of the late Paul and Rita (Reiss) Vella.
He earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy, Dental School in 1988. With a passion for dentistry, Dr. Joe established Millington Dental in 1996, where he dedicated himself to providing compassionate and quality dental care to the community. His commitment to his profession was evident in the lasting impact he made on the lives of his patients. A man of faith, Joe was an active member of Davison Assembly of God, where he found strength and inspiration. He believed in the power of giving back and volunteered his dental services to organizations such as Hope International, extending his healing touch beyond the confines of his practice. Outside of his professional life, Joe cherished moments spent with his loved ones and family. Whether it was a simple gathering or a special occasion, he valued the time spent together and created lasting memories with those he held dear. Joe will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, his generous spirit, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on through the smiles he brought to countless faces and the positive impact he had on the community.
May he rest in peace, and may his memory continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.
Joe is survived by 2 daughters, Alexandria (Connor Ramage) Vella and Gabrielle (Roy van Hamburg) Vella ; 4 siblings, Paul (Carol) Vella, Thomas (Cindy) Vella, Edward (Ramona) Vella and David (Jennifer) Vella; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Vella and Rita Vella-Wiseman.
