RYAN, Cathy Jean - Of Burton, age 74, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial Mass will be held 3pm Monday, January 6, 2025 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2500 N. Franklin Ave., Flint, MI 48506.

Cathy was born in Flint, Michigan on November 5, 1950, the daughter of the late Stephan and Florence (Galvas) Daniels.
She graduated from Kearsley High School. On September 20, 1974 she married Don Ryan in Flint. Cathy worked for GM, and then Flint Community Schools for 20 years. She was heavily involved in St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir, and was involved with the Quilting Guild. She loved to cook, play cards, enjoyed reading mystery novels, TV shows and movies, was a mystery buff; collected angels and loved flowers. She was the best mom around; her home was a safe space for all the neighborhood kids. Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Surviving are by her sons, Eric (Mary) Ryan, Jason and Nathan Ryan;
grandchildren Savana, Gabriel, Jason, and Cameron;
siblings, Rita (Dan) Hudak, Steve (Dee) Daniels and Kevin (Traci) Daniels;
sister-in-law. Jill Daniels;
many nieces, nephews, cousins and neighborhood kids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; siblings, Jeff Daniels and Mark Daniels.
