LOWELL, Charles Ronald – of Clio, age 83, died Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Angel Manor. A Private family service will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to the Clio Art Society.
Charles was born March 12, 1937 in Mt. Morris, Michigan to the late Charles and Aileen (Swart) Lowell. He grew up in Mt. Morris and graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1955. Charles married Mary Ann Howard in 1956 and they were married 55 years prior to her passing in 2011. He was a member of the 1954 football team that was inducted into the Mt Morris High School Hall of Fame in 2018. Prior to his retirement in 1992, Charles worked for GM as a Supervisor with 37 years of service. He refurbished and drove a 1946 Chevy panel truck in many Memorial Day parades. After retirement he taught stain glass classes, and made and sold his own stain glass work.
Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Laurie (Darrell) Stinson, Linda (Tim) Hinkin; Grandchildren, Douglas (Ashley) Stinson, Karen (Edwin) Miller; Great Grandchildren, Aiden Stinson, Ariella Stinson, Gavin Miller, Collin Miller, Dylan Miller; Sister, Mary Grace Varner; Special Friends, Fred and Bert Matthews; many special friends, family, and all his stain glass students.
