GREGG, David Richard - Of Swartz Creek, age 72, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 3, 2022 at home with his family.
A memorial visitation will be held 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Cremation has taken place.
Contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation and the Humane Society of Genesee County.
David was born in Youngstown, Ohio on July 9, 1949, the son of the late David V. and Norma J. (Schraeder) Gregg. On July 17, 1976, he married Margaret B. Keedle in Flushing. David coached his son’s little league baseball team and he enjoyed going to watch hockey at Dort Federal Arena. He was a Flint Firebirds and Generals fan. David loved to read and do all things regarding exercise, including running, swimming, biking, tennis and working out. He enjoyed watching basketball and tennis on television and also enjoyed gardening. David loved music, rock and roll and played the guitar. David was employed with and retired from General Motors Flint Metal Fab for after 30 years of service.
Surviving are wife, Margaret;
children, Carrie Lynn Barnes and David William (Shannon) Gregg;
grandchildren, Austin, Tristan and Colton;
siblings, Howard J. (Sandy) and Robert W. Gregg;
niece, Amanda (Chris) Kosnik;
nephews, Justin and Howard C. Gregg and Nathan J. Keedle;
and great-niece, Corrine Kosnik.
He was also preceded in death by his sister, Carole Gregg.
