Macciomei, Beverly June, age 83, died Sunday, August 13, 2023, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Rossell Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the funeral services with a private burial of cremated remains at St. Robert Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Flushing Christian Outreach Center.
Beverly was born on September 16, 1939, the daughter of Conrad and Elizabeth (Sloan) Shelby. She married Dandi “Dan” Macciomei on May 28, 1960, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Flint. In 1973, the Macciomei’s moved to Flushing to raise their family and were active members of St. Robert Catholic Church. Beverly was talented in ceramics, quilting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed spending time bowling and golfing where she was in various leagues. Beverly was an avid pinochle player and was a wonderful cook. Her greatest joy in life was being Nana to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dan; children, Mark and wife Kimberly Macciomei, Robert and wife Karen Macciomei, Katherine and husband Rodney Johnson, Christine and husband Jeff Spangler; grandchildren, Matthew, Ashley, Jessica, Adam, Zachary, Braedon, Clint, Chase, Shelby; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Macciomei.
