BABCOCK, Chester E. – of Davison, age 85, went to sleep and awoke in the arms of his Savior, Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his son’s home. A memorial will be held at a later date.
Chester was born in Marquette, MI on October 3, 1935, son of the late Chester E. and Myrtle (Contois) Babcock. Chester married Marilyn Bowie on October 2, 1965. He was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene, veteran of the United States Navy, alumni of the University of Michigan and a retired teacher from Davison Community Schools.
Chester is survived by son, Randall (Cheryl) Babcock and daughter, Sheila (Raymond) Shamel; grandchildren, Randall Jr. (Emberly), Felecia, Christian, Jennifer, Kara (Zach) and Caleb; great grandchildren, Parker, Rowan, Trinity, Mia, Layla and Brandon; siblings, Walter (Joyce) Sleeter, Charles Babcock, Larry (Karen) Babcock, Betty (Louie) Nordeen. His sister-in-law, Gloria; sister, Marlene Barto, and brother-in-law, David Barto preceded him in death. |
