OLIVER, Dolores “Dee” J. – of Flint, MI, age 70, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Genesys Hospice.
Dee was born in Flint, MI on January 11,1952, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Schweiss) Oliver. Dee was very proud of her education. She received her Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University. She received master’s degrees from Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan. Her favorite time was the year she spent at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Dee was employed by General Motors at A.C. Spark Plug, then Genesee Mental Health and Genesys Hospice.
Dee was an avid Wolverine. She loved making friendly wagers on the MSU/UofM football games. Dee loved fishing. She enjoyed being with people and being the life of the party. Dee was a caring friend and devoted partner. She and Kathy just celebrated 31 years together. Dee was highly motivated and had a take charge personality. She was loved by those who knew her well. Dee will be greatly missed.
Dee is survived by her life partner, Kathryn Stark; sisters, Mary Jo Schultz and Margaret Ann Herring; and many other loving family members and friends.
