Jolie Paul Steele, a spirited and passionate woman, passed away on November 8, 2023, in her hometown of Flint, Michigan. Born on February 23, 1990, to Albert and Micah (McCullough) Steele, Jolie was a beacon of creativity and joy who touched the lives of many.
Jolie was a woman of many talents, with a particular passion for the arts. She was a gifted artist, adept in mixed media drawing, painting, and pen work. Her creativity was not limited to the canvas; she brought a unique perspective and vibrant energy to every aspect of her life. Jolie also had a love for the outdoors, often spending her free time fishing or playing disc golf.
Jolie is survived by her loving parents, Al and Micah, and her three sisters, Kayleigh (Josh) Cogle, Alicah (Joseph) Gates, and Paige Steele. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Baleigh McCullough, Jude McCullough, McCullough Gates, DiMaggio Gates, and August Gates. Jolie was a devoted aunt, sister, and daughter, and her family will remember her for her boundless love and unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Stanley and Pauline McCullough, and her aunt, Bethany McCullough. Jolie's grandparents, Jack and Nancy Steele, also survive her. The love and wisdom they imparted to Jolie will always be remembered.
Jolie's life will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Pastor John Walworth will officiate the service, with a burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Clio at 1:00pm. Jolie's family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-8pm, providing an opportunity for loved ones to share memories and pay their respects.
Jolie's life was a testament to the power of creativity and passion. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her.
Memorial contributions given in Jolie's name are suggested to the Genesee Health System for individuals who struggle with mental health.
